AUTHOR'S NOTES: I wrote this late at night after hitting my head, just to prove to myself that I hadn't given myself permanent brain damage and that I could still write. And it worked! I'm making no more sense than I was yesterday!
Blue orbs of wonder.
He has such beautiful eyes, that you could just drown in. I can see Daniel's soul through his eyes; so pure, so innocent. I can tell his every thought, just by looking in his eyes. An angel's eyes.
But those eyes have seen too much, have suffered too many horrors and the illusion of calm had faded. Now all they see is hate where love should be. I see guilt, worry and heartache in those world-weary eyes and I curse the world that made them so. I'm sorry the world isn't perfect, Danny.
I'm so sorry.
